United Nigeria Airlines is currently recruiting a Travel Desk Officer in Enugu. The role focuses on managing relationships with travel agents, supporting ticketing operations, and driving revenue growth through the agency channel.
This is a full-time position suitable for candidates with experience in airline ticketing, reservations, or travel agency operations.
Job Summary
The Travel Desk Officer will serve as the main point of contact between the airline and accredited travel agents. The role ensures smooth booking operations, resolves ticketing issues, supports sales activities, and maintains compliance with airline policies.
Key Responsibilities (Overview)
- Support travel agents with bookings, ticketing, refunds, reissues, and fare rules
- Resolve PNR and reservation issues escalated by agents
- Ensure compliance with airline ticketing procedures and GDS standards
- Monitor agent performance and support revenue growth initiatives
- Identify and prevent ticketing errors, fraud, and revenue leakage
- Prepare reports on agent activities and service performance
- Work closely with internal teams including Sales, Ticketing, and Customer Service
Requirements
- HND or B.Sc. in Business, Marketing, Social Sciences, or related fields
- 1–3 years experience in ticketing, airline operations, or travel agency work
- Knowledge of GDS systems (Amadeus, Sabre, or similar) is an advantage
- IATA certification is a plus
- Strong communication, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
